Registration

  • This fee covers the banquet dinner on Saturday night and this also includes access to the Command Post (CP) for all four days. CP amenities include: complimentary bar (over 21), sodas, coffee (regular/decaf), hot water for tea, and snacks. This DOES NOT cover hotel rooms or other costs not specifically identified.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS (separate from reunion registration fee):

     To reserve your room, please call: (401) 732-6000 and ask for the "509" rate block.

Check-in: 3:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Check-out Before: 11:00 AM

Minimum Check-in Age: 21

     Room rates are $139 per night, which includes a cooked breakfast for two (normal cost is over $200/night). Tax is currently 13%. Breakfast will be served in our CP from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, each morning.

     The hotel offers free: outdoor parking, WiFi, fitness center, indoor pool, and a 24-hour business center. The hotel is pet-friendly, but there is an additional fee for pets. There is a restaurant and bar/lounge on the premises.


DEADLINE:

     For our hotel block reservation is: August 19th, 2022. That's as long as the block is not filled by that time! After that date, or once the blocks are filled, room rates will be set by the hotel.


TRANSPORTATION:

   The hotel operates a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, with hours of operation: 7:00 AM to 12:30 AM.



PLANNED AGENDA:


     The “Command Post” (CP) provides a full-sized meeting room to relax, visit, and just hang out with friends. It also includes complimentary snacks, beverages (e.g., sodas, regular/decaf coffee, hot water f/tea, etc.), and alcohol (21 and older)! The costs of these things are included in your registration fee. Please tip your volunteer bartender!


     Ensure that you register/pay for additional attendees that want to access the CP and/or join the banquet dinner on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY – September 14th, The CP (large hospitality room)

  • First day of CHECK-IN!
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM/midnight, The CP is open.
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.

THURSDAY – September 15th, The CP (large hospitality room)

  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM/midnight, The CP is open.
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.

FRIDAY – September 16th, The CP (large hospitality room)

  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM/midnight, The CP is open.
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, The Artillery Company of Newport Museum will be open by our request! FREE - no admission to visit.
  • 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, 509th History presentation by Matt Anderson, 509th PIA Historian. Mr. Charlie Audet and Mr. Morton Katz, ORIGINAL WWII 509ther's will be present!!
  • 5:00 PM, FREE pizza in the CP!

SATURDAY – September 17th, The CP (large hospitality room)

  • 9:00 AM, The CP is open.
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Membership board meeting is called to order. Normal CP amenities and bar will be closed during the meeting.
  • 12:00 PM, The CP will relocate to a smaller hospitality room following the membership board meeting and the large hospitality room will close to prepare for the dinner banquet.
  • 5:45 PM, The dinner banquet reception begins. Preferred attire: “business casual”, appropriate military uniform, or anything more formal. There will be a cash bar (hotel operated) until 8:30 PM (during dinner).
  • 6:45 PM, Posting of Colors
  • National Anthem
  • Invocation
  • Toasts
  • Dinner
    • DINNER MENU:
      • Chicken Saltimbocca, with chef selection of potato & vegetable.
      • Includes: garden salad or soup, bread rolls/butter, and dessert.
      • Also includes coffee, tea, and fresh ice water. Other beverages available may be available for a fee.
  • Guest Speaker
  • Retirement of the Colors
  • Our normal CP bar will re-open after the Colors are retired.
  • After dinner we will conduct a 50/50 raffle and then auction all the donated items!  If you have any auction items to donate, please bring them or contact: abn509thassoc@yahoo.com for instructions on where to send anything.
  • A DJ will be onsite to host music and dancing after the auction!

SUNDAY – 18th, The CP (large hospitality room)

  • CHECK-OUT Day!
  • 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • Have a safe trip home!
