HOTEL RESERVATIONS (separate from reunion registration fee):

To make your reservation by phone, call the hotel: (509) 924-9000, provide Group Code (50923) or tell them you are with the 509th Paratrooper Reunion (13-17 Sep, 2023).


If you want a first floor room, it's best to call them in-person and make the reservation!

Check-in Begins: 4:00 PM

Check-out By: 11:00 AM

     Room rates are:

          $124 per night, single occupancy (includes breakfast)

          $134 per night, double occupancy (includes breakfast)

               *In addition,  county tax is currently 12.2%, plus a $4.00 tourism fee per day.


The hot breakfast buffet will be available from 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM, each morning.

The hotel is pet-friendly, but there is an additional fee for pets.

There is a restaurant and bar/lounge on the premises.

Amenities include free: outdoor parking, WiFi, fitness center, outdoor heated pool, fitness center, and a 24-hour business center.


DEADLINE:

     If you want to include the off-site Sunset Dinner Cruise, you have to register and purchase that ticket by June 25, 2023. After that date, only Reunion Registrations can be purchased (no off-site included).

     For our hotel block reservation deadline is August 19th, 2023!! That's as long as the block is not filled by that time! After that date, or once the blocks are filled, room rates will be set by the hotel. If you do make reservations after that date, tell them you are a Veteran and ask if they will honor the government rate.


TRANSPORTATION:

     The hotel operates a shuttle service (for a fee) to and from Spokane International Airport (GEG). The airport is approximately 18 miles and a 25 minute trip, one-way.

From the hotel:

When room reservations are made, we ask that airport pickup arrangements be made also, because we need flight info as soon as possible to coordinate everything.

We charge Vet groups $20.00 per person one way, and pickup and return a minimum of 4 passengers per shuttle ($80 minimum shuttles). Our bus holds 13 passengers. We try to pick up in groups.

     The “Command Post” (CP) provides a full-sized meeting room to relax, visit, and just hang out with friends. It also includes complimentary snacks, beverages (e.g., sodas, regular/decaf coffee, hot water f/tea, etc.), and alcohol (21 and older)!


The costs of these things are included in your registration fee. Please tip your volunteer bartender at "The Drop Zone" bar!


     Ensure that you register/pay for additional attendees that want to access the CP and/or join the banquet dinner on Saturday.

WEDNESDAY – September 13th, The CP (hospitality room)

  • First day of CHECK-IN!
  • 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM, hot breakfast in the hotel restaurant for registered hotel guests. This changes location to the CP for Thursday-Saturday.
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM/midnight, The CP opens (officially) for Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.

THURSDAY – September 14th, The CP (hospitality room)

  • 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM/midnight, The CP opens (officially) for Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.
  • 5:00 PM Meet in lobby for bus ride to the boat!
  • 6:00 PM Sunset Dinner Cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene (additional fee and must sign up early!)

FRIDAY – September 15th, The CP (hospitality room)

  • 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM/midnight, The CP opens (officially) for Reunion check-in & registration support, normal amenities, and some 509th merchandise.
  • Noon/12:00 PM, FREE pizza lunch in the CP!

SATURDAY – September 16th, The CP (hospitality room)

  • 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM, hot breakfast in the CP for registered hotel guests.
  • 9:00 AM, The CP opens (officially).
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Membership Board Meeting is called to order. Normal CP amenities and bar will be closed during the meeting.
  • 12:00 PM, The CP will relocate to a smaller hospitality room following the membership board meeting and the large hospitality room will close to prepare for the dinner banquet.
  • 5:45 PM, The dinner banquet reception begins. Preferred attire: “business casual”, appropriate military uniform, or anything more formal. There will be a cash bar (hotel operated) until 8:30 PM (during dinner).

  • Invocation
  • Toasts
  • Dinner
    • DINNER MENU:
      • Chicken Chardonnay, tender seared 8 oz. Breast of Chicken topped with Crispy Prosciutto and Fresh Herbs, finished with a Chardonnay Cream Sauce and Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, and Chef's Seasonal Vegetable. Includes: Starter Salad, Artisan Bread and Butter.
      • Dessert: MAX Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate - Bittersweet Center, Spiked Chocolate Whip, White Chocolate & Raspberry Coulis.
      • Also includes Fresh Ground French Roast Coffee, Assorted Premium Black & Herbal Teas, and fresh ice water. Other beverages may be available for a fee.
  • Guest Speaker
  • Retirement of the Colors
  • Our normal CP bar will re-open after the Colors are retired.
  • Following dinner, we will conduct a 50/50 raffle and then auction all the donated items!  If you have any auction items to donate, please bring them or contact: abn509thassoc@yahoo.com for instructions on where to send anything.
  • The 509th CP bar (The Drop Zone) will re-open after dinner.
  • A DJ will be onsite to host music and dancing after the raffle and auction!

SUNDAY – 17th, The CP (hospitality room)

  • CHECK-OUT Day!
  • 6:00 AM - 9:30 AM, hot breakfast in the hotel restaurant for registered hotel guests.
  • Have a safe trip home!
